Curating a student's exhibition
FINDING A COMMON GROUND
While studying at the Central Saint Martins I was the curator of the Applied Imagination exhibition. As this research-based course attracted students from very various background, we chose to focus on the one element that linked our work : questioning as a creative process.
Visitors navigated the exhibition from question to questions, letting them emerge and be visible, while a central structure crystallized the idea of question with interviews of students and a research space.
Through this project I learned valuable lessons in organisation and team management. Handling 43 art students' expectations in a fruitful way while trying to finish an MA project implies a lot of responsibilities, but the final outcome was definitely worth it.
